Yea and I don't explain things very well! The Editor is alot of fun to play around with, but I prefer to play ingame. Well good luck.
Kane, I got it to work! Like a charm just had to read and re-read ur post. The only problem I added a bunch of late-war German Tiger tanks to a early war level like the one I described. The tanks worked great when I use the men that are already on the map by default however, I also added some tank crews and snipers. The original units including tanks and infantry that were on the map started attacking these men and I lost most of them before the battle even started? Furthermore, I couldn't control any of them to go into the Tigers Tanks and they had a red x on them when I tried to select them?
Anyway, thanks for helping me! This is a great cheat like the one u had for Theatre of War 2.
OK, I must have been editing just the map and not the actual mission since I didn't hit F3 for the mission editor. Alright, I need to read the tutorial for GEM but don't worry bout that. I never messed with GEM before u posted so Im in the dark here. I will try this step tonight....
It works on the map files too! Just as a test I completely deleted all the buildings, trees, bushes, and walls off the map from the mission "Scorching Sands" then saved it. Then located the file, opened it with notepad then saved it as a "map.scn" file then switched it with a saved game map file. Worked great!

What do we do if we have steam? There's no profiles or anything in the directory of the game for steam.
This is the path on my computer,
C:\Users\jim\Documents\my games\men of war\profiles\player\save\99999
If you can't find it, IDK.
i know this is dumb but can u make a video of u doing it. i cant seem to find the saved game in the gem and how do i do it correctly please show us with a video
Sorry man I wouldn't even know how to do that. You don't find the saved games in the editor. What you do is use the Editor to load a mission of your choice, with all the units, objectives and triggers. Then adding stuff and/or deleting stuff. Then porting that file into your saved game folder so that you can play with all your changes ingame.
If you follow this,
"Load the GEM Editor, hit F3, bring up the "mission editor menu" and hit load, then hit "single", then for this example hit #2, then "3-toburk", then "0.mi", then "ok". Now that will load that mission. After you make your changes, bring up the "mission editor menu" hit Save-as and in this case name it "tobruk1.mi" and hit "ok". When you go into the mow/resources/map/single/2/tobruk1 folder you should see "tobruk1.mi".
Then the info in my 2nd post you shouldn't have any problems.
If you do let me know and I will go over it step by step.
Remember to BACKUP your files before you overwrite them, and when your in the Editor don't overwrite the "0.mi" , name it something different ( "mytest.mi" ).
Check out the game after my changes,
