To geos:
Hi,
I installed Dragon Age to Win7, but how do I get the console to work like I had in Vista on my older machine. I added -enabledeveloperconsole after-"daorigins.exe" in the shortcut icon. Do I need to add/change anything in the keybindings.ini file. One user suggested the following:
KeyBindings - Look for and CHANGE to
OpenConsole_0=(UNASSIGNED)
OpenConsole_1=(UNASSIGNED)
When I had Vista, I just changed the "Open Console_0 and added a letter R
How do I get back and use the cheat console in Win 7??

In Win7 do this. Don't use the actual shortcut to make the console work, which is called "DAOriginsLauncher". You need to make a shortcut to the actual 'daorigins.exe' which should be in 'Program Files\Dragon Age\bin_ship'. Anyway, make a shortcut of the exe on your Desktop, or wherever you want it, then add the '-enabledeveloperconsole' in the target window. Be sure there is a space between 'exe' and '-'. If that still doesn't work, then go here Link and read the section "Enabling the Console" as it will also add instructions on editing the DAOriginslauncher.xml. You also need to read the next section "Accessing the Console" as well.
Remember to back up this file just in case. If you get confused on how to do it, I can send you the file if you need it.
Also, there is a mod that allows you see the text as you type in the console, it is very handy, you get it here:
