I've seen some posts on this but they've gone largely unresolved. I have used the trainer, but as trainers tend to cause intermittent crashes and loss of stability in general, I'd rather just use the command line features if there IS such a feature in the D2D Deluxe Edition. I am not computer illiterate before some of you trolls jump down my throat.
I've created a shortcut on the desktop from the x86/dragonage folder of my vista 64bit installation, and added the line "-enabledeveloperconsole" after the quotes in the shortcut. Frankly, you can't do it incorrectly as the shortcut then states that the syntax is incorrect.
I've edited the key bindings, and left Tilde as the key to press, as that key has been the console line since the original Quake in my mind.
Are there command line codes for this version of the game. Once again, purchased from Direct 2 Drive, fully updated, and I've followed the instructions.
Also, is there a point in the game (ie. the introduction) where the cheats do not function? Some games you can't get cheating until after a certain segment of the story, and if that is the case, also let me know!

It seems that most of the replies on these boards are to people without the slightest grasp of ... computer literacy with an instant gratification problem.
If anyone else is having the same problem, or wondering the same thing, please add your issues to this thread, so we stand a better chance of getting a response. The trainer... really doesn't work that well for me:
'+' Adds a level, but I do not get to assign skill points '4' Adds experience, but again with the skill points (ie. None) '5,6,7' It goes without saying, nothing happens.
Here's hoping there is either some fixes to that, or some insight on these issues. If I could actually experience the notion of my character leveling with the use of + or 4 or assign skill/talent/attribute points, I'd be a happy man.
Just looking for the trainer to give me some ... edge - or as the original post for some hard-coded system to allow me to advance my character.

I can't speak for the 5, 6 and 7 part, but you DO realize that giving yourself a level just advances the NUMBER, right? You don't gain any points of any sort by doing so. Experience is the same way; unless you gain enough so that when you ACTUALLY gain exp, you level naturally.
Also, if you add levels to yourself, you won't 'gain' any exp until your exp pool actually catches up to whatever level you made yourself.

Enders, thank you, and yes I understand what you said. In some games, adding a level adds ALL of the trimmings of that level (skill points, etc) now the add a level adds a number but no skill or talent or attribute points. And the buttons assigned to add skill talent and attribute points just do nothing!
I long for a command line in my Digital downloaded version But I thank you for the reply and the information on the '+' feature. I wish I could get the rest of the trainer to work.
