i just installed the game.. how do i check what patch i have to know what trainer to use?

In the the bin_ship folder in you install directory, right click daorigins.exe, go to details, and under product version you will see your current game version.

where can i download the 1.01 patch? or does it auto update?

Go to the DAO website and download it. It's easy. then install it.

Once you patch the game, don't use the Dragon Age Origins Launcher in the game folder in the start menu. Use the daorigins.exe from bin_ship folder.

i got it to work a few hours after the last post i had to update my C++ thing and it started fine i play a bit of it and forgot to post that i fixed it,
