Dragon Age: Origins Message Board  

I'm trying to fight the high dragon in the temple - the one on the quest to get the sacred ashes. I'm level 10. Although I've heard people say that you don't have to fight it. Cause this thing kills me in about 5 seconds....it's like a joke haha. Any help would be good about now. Thank you

I haven't made it there yet because I am getting screwed in the raw fade on the last stage of it. I would say use the star fang sword the golem and the downloadable dragon blood armor.

I could be wrong, but worth a shot. Seems no one else has answered you yet...

OK, Drake Scale Armor does no good nor does anything else. I would say leave the thing alone. I cannot beat the high dragon and I had tactics set up for all possible scenarios. Even with 90 great health poultice, the Dragon will still kick your ars! Defeating Flemeth is easier, believe it or not...

come back when youre stronger around 18-23

not even at level 22 you will beat it. I only lasted only about 1 min. I wouldn't even fight it. I couldn't even kill the witch in the wild either. The dragons are too powerful.

I have actually beaten Flemmeth and the High Dragon since. I was around level 19 when I beat both. I beat both of them with only my main character left alive. I used Alastair, myself, Wynne and Leliana for Flemmeth and Alastair, myslef, Wynne and Morrigan for the High Dragon. And I only had about 20 health polutices. It's not too bad if you have Wynne healing and Morrigan attacking and the Dragons focus on killing Alastair lol.

3 of my chars died except for Morrigain. I just stood in the middle while the dragon flew above me, and when it lands you just go a closer, not too far away and not to close. Then u can just stand in the middle and shoot it to death :P Worked brilliant. I was there at lvl 13 Only used the Winters Grasp spell, some white hitting and a couple of Health Pots

It was so easy to kill him/her/it, I only used a rouge, level 18. had most my stats in dex,stam. what I did was use duelist and archer. Archers attack determine on dex,dex gives hit,attack and critical counts. Attacking from afar with a good bow, most of them do about 9.00 damage rating. But use the duelists critical hit skill to gain critical hits all the time. just run away from it and attack with crazy ass skills. also use elv light arrows if you got em. They help out alot.

Using that archer critical head shot takes good chunks out of the dragon's health. and guess what I had other three charecters helping me!

I used mora as a healer. had her use group heal from spirit healer class. setted her freaking tactics to have healing at the top, next have her set lyr pots to herself as soon as her mp hits about fifty%

Alastar a damn juggernaught tank with temp beserk. have him use a mix of sheild and beserk boost, same for sten. Have sten use heavy hitting skills from two handed sword chart.
