Dragon Age: Origins Message Board  

I've picked up a few quests from the Chanter's board in Denerim. Some were fairly easy, but I'm stuck on one for the sextant and one for an MIA from Ostagar.

I haven't as yet got the Arl of Redcliffe up and running, so whatever this Landsmeet is probably isn't happening yet. Nor can I enter the Elven Alienage.

Do I just have to complete more of the game? Or have I missed something?

yes you have to complete more of the game, that quest is probably only accessible when landsmeet questline start. If you go to denerim early, some quest there can only be completed partially since its still pretty early. Most of the other denerim side quest needs access to the alienage and other parts of the city.

Yeah the sextant is in the Earl's house when you have to do a rescue type mission.

Actually, I think you misspoke, the MIA guy is in the Arl's house in the dungeon...the sextant is in the alienage.

Ah, now I remember, it's in the apartments in the alienage, in the room to the right right before you reach the landlord's room.

If I can have a minor spoiler, when does the alienage become available? I feel like I have achieved alot so far but still cant get in.

The alienage becomes available when you restore the Arl of Redcliffe's health with the ashes and you gain access to the quests to prove Lohgaine's treachery and misdeeds to muster support from the nobles.
