I just heard the news that in order to play MW2 in online, you have to install or use Steam to do that.....

Hmm... I do not know it's good thing or a bad thing..

as merk23 said , Steam is great especially because of the VAC.
second , all of your achievements in the game are saved in the Steam Cloud and because of Steam you can access the game from every place on the world (which have an Internet connection of course... )

Although Steam has it's disadvantages , they are fewer compared to what you gain from Steam...

both punkbuster and vac has cheaters, but punkbuster has far less cheaters, and its mostly aimbotters wich can be detected fast.

Vac has all kinds of cheaters, wallhack, aimbot, speedhack and so on.

Just take a look at counter-strike 1.6 and source.

But on the other hand VAC causes less problems in multiplayer than Punkbuster.

I prefer punkbuster only because thoose damn online cheaters.

I had my own 52 slot server in top 50 back in modern warfare, and i never had a single cheater on my server.

So yes punkbuster is still better.

pity, all those COD games under PB, and now they switch to VAC and small 9 v 9 games......daft.

hope it doesn't end up another Empire TW. It's on 2 DVD's and needs 16GB install space.....loading it up now, since mine arrived early.
