Is anyone else getting the crap from this hurricane?

Memorization of dates is useless outside of putting events into a working timeline. Significance of the event itself is much more valuable.

No "memorization" is necessary. You read it, you remember it. That's how the human mind works.

I said memorization of historical dates. Not memorization in general.

You read it in your primary school text books. You remember it.

Unless you didn't read it, in which case you failed at what your society paid endless amounts of money for and you should be cast out for your ingratitude.

No. Databases were invented to store information like that to be looked up when it is needed. Memory can be served for better use. When am I going to be using those dates outside a test examination or history assignments? Most likely I'm not so it's better to shift it down to another source of storage.

Since it's Veteran's Day, many people thought the soldier would get an update in TF2. No such luck.
