This game is a bad port from the console versions. Not much at all was done to tailor the game to the PC platform. You will find that the control system is shoddy at best, and hard to get used to. The dead give away with a lot of ports is that you can't navigate the menus with the mouse, rather relying on keyboard input (in place of the console controller). I wouldn't be suprised if many of these reported glitches/crashes/etc are due to the game itself, especially if users are using the latest fix.

Bad port is what i thought to then i decided to do a driver sweep, clean up all the vid drivers i overwrote with new ones and installed the very latest drivers on a clean slate and OMG Becky i went threw 3 expansion packs just like that no crashes what so ever.
Not saying its everyones problem but what would it hurt to give it a try.....
Good luck guys, im gonna get some rest and play it all over again awesome game i say.....
P.S. I found the controls and the use of the force with keys and mouse very easy my self but thats just me

I think, not sure system req, for this game is Vista or 7, i have Vista ultimate 64. I can imagine this game on xp it would not be the same on DX9, but thats just my thoughts...
As far as I am aware, DX only runs as a comunication port between game software and the hardware of your machine.
I've tried to run some games on a laptop that had Vista, and with games of the likes like Tom Clancy's HAWX and I see Zero difference other then the fact that the Vista machine is a Laptop instead of the XP desktop I normally use.
Anyways, I finished getting SW:TFU will run it as soon as I moved some data to an external drive.
