i can activate the retail version but it just immediately deactivates and closes the trainer, so it doesn't work. anyone else had this problem? just to see I tried the Steam version, no luck on that one either, stays on but doesnt work at all.

I have the same problem since I hit windows 7 64 bit, it worked on xp 32 bit, but it immediately deactivates on win 7 64 bit.
Edit: Turns out the no-dvd patch I'm using thinks it is the steam version, so the steam version of trainer works.

I have the steam version too, running on Windows XP 32Bits, and it has the same problem with the Retail version of the Trainer, it seams that the trainer it not exactly fully compatible with Steam version of the game. I'm going to test now the Steam version.

The Steam version works perfectly fine, do not use the retail version on the Steam version, that is the problem.

I'm using the retail version as it is and it's doing the deactivating thing. Any ideas?

look at the readme for the regular dvdtype mega trainer it says its for the steam version. Both downloads non steam and steam both seem do actual be steam versions of the trainer.

the Retail is the steam version and the steam version is the retail version, but the readme for both says its the steam version,so use the one marked for the steam version on the retail game and vice-versa........
