I cant see a thing in the first level
I think that maybe its because I've installed it on vista

is the screen just showing black? white? i have vista and tried playing a new game today but for some reason i cant look around with the mouse...

no it just looks like theres mist in front of me. if i go real close to the wall i can see a part of it, but its useless to try doing the level like that

Had same problem. Update to the latest patch and problem is fixed.

Far Cry 1 is a graphically rich game so make sure u have a good card and a decent bit of ram and updated drivers to play it properly.

Lower your settinngs, update drivers and DirectX.
Never really had the problem, so I don't know about the actual fix, a patch yes, can fix the issue.
And you may also try compatibility settings if nothing works.
