the part im curious about is how your SP data is saved to go into MP does it add extra code or something to ur character when u use artifical increases that might be picked up by steams sniffer?

I didn't think steam could ban people from this game since they don't run the servers. I hadn't dared use it online anyway but it's nice to know . What's wrong with some inf ammo? lol
Either way i'm loving this game, Soldier/Hunter level 24/21

I rolled a soldier, since rifles/shotties are my favorite weapons...however, ALL I've been using are pistols/SMGs and very occasionally a sniper rifle >< I can't seem to find any good shotguns anywhere...kinda sucks.
I managed to connect to a friend of mine just fine...he's leeching wireless from my connect I'm using the land line, he's on my wireless signal, and we just co-op'd for about 3 hours.

so any steam users used the trainer in SP and then taken their character in MP yet without the trainer?

It seems pretty straight forward. Your SP data is saved/loaded as normal when in multipleyer.
When running multiplayer (LAN), the server keeps track of your game data, i.e. you can't run a trainer on a multiplayer server unless you are hosting it.
Using a trainer to max out your XP/skills/money etc in SP seems to work fine when you then use your game in MP.

are you using a steam version? if so do you use a trainer in SP then play MP without it? im just curious cause ive leveled a character in SP only til about 10 using just mega ammo no reload and super health since the data is saved client side that means i can still take him into MP if i wanted without any possible problems arising?

Well if anyone cares, I was finally able to host my own multiplayer game earlier today. The way I did it was to forward the ports from my router to my pc and to open the ports on windows firewall. Works perfectly fine now.
(the ports I have opened are 7777, 28900, 27900, 29900, 29901, 28910, 6500, 9899, 3783, 13139, 6515)
Oh, and you can use your modded char in multi just fine.
