if they had better physics like the crysis ones and cars that go past 20 kmh then it could be fun but when you mix slow driving and long maps it doesnt work. And anyone notice why everyone is extremely fast talking.
They do talk way too fast. I often can't even keep up with the subtitles. Everyone speaks in a rushed manner, swallowing sentences instead of articulating them.
The vehicles don't go all that slow; altho, they are pretty simple in terms of how they work. You accelerate, they go to pretty much top speed and that's it. If you're driving down a slope, it will pick up more speed, vice-versa if you're driving up a slope. And that's it.
But this wouldn't have bothered me. What does bother me is the AI. How they instantly identify you as a target, how they rush to their vehicles in 2 seconds if you drive by, how they pursue you to no end like you are their arch-enemy, how their vehicles are ALWAYS faster and how your vehicles will start smoking up with half a dozen to a dozen shots. It doesn't even take shots to the hood itself! Shoot at the freaking tires and they'll smoke. Hit a tree with your rear enough times and they'll smoke.
Really... like someone said in another thread, the game engine is fine, the gameplay itself is lousy. What a waste.
And like the author of this thread said, this game is so far removed, it's not even dismissible. Seems Ubisoft just wanted to use the famous Far Cry name for marketing. The game has nothing to do with the original except that it's also an FPS. What a waste.
If the original was released at the same time as this "sequel", it would've still been a lot better.
PS: I basically play this game for the explosions.
