I just tried the trainer on my game. and all it keeps saying is trainer can not find game

my risen is thru steam so I am sure its current

Did you disable or turn off all security... anti-virus and firewall? Right-click and run trainer and game As Admin. If you still have problems, you need to look closely thru the Troubleshooter here:

Tried My one Too. New one can not find game but old one can but game crashes.

Not necessarily. I had to download and apply official patch 1.1.
I'm also using unofficial patch 1.3 because it has many bug fixes. The trainer has never worked for me in neither version (I've played retail and steam). Just use the console

It is most likely something on your end, I just downloaded the trainer and it works fine. I have the Steam version of the game.

The 1.1 trainer does work for the Steam version, you just have to put it in the same place that Risen is installed, the default is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Risen\bin on Windows 7.
