there MUST be some sort of version problem then. unless something is blocking the trainer from injecting, then there has to be some sort of version difference. it's the ONLY thing i can think if since i have none of the problems you post here-

Cal, I still can't get it to stop crashing i tried running it in DX10 and DX9 , samething. I got my info below to help you.
Steam, patched version 1.0.1948 it crashed during my loaded mission halfway thru and if i activate it it crashes when i click load both.
Is this the version you got for steam? Should I remove the game and reinstall it? My antivirus is AVG never had probs before with any game, I got 64B Windows Vista, I got sli runing with Dual 8800gtx's. Driver 190.62, umm can't think of anything else.
Anything you can think of Cal, will be most apperciated.
