imo, mouse aiming in this game is totally crap.
since you can't running and shooting, i'll say aiming via analog stick seem to be more appropriate.
your post is giving me mixed opinions. I have enough money for this festival to spend money in Batman AA, Red Faction guerilla (PC) and RE5. But now I am thinking of saving this money for some other game.
don't take me wrong, the game is great (in it's way).
my point in previous reply is RE5 works just fine with my Xbox360 control (for Windows, of coz),
less accurate but more flexible than keyboard+mouse.
The question is: Will the game controls bother me? I do not use the gamepad on my PC, a keyboard and mouse is enough. If I had to use the gamepad, I would have bought the X360 version of the game long ago...
no, it won't.
old method works just fine.
actually, keyboard+mouse give you more precise shots, and for PC gamers keyboard+mouse are more familiar than any gamepad.
but if you wanna gain S rank in chapter completion time, i think using gamepad will give you more advantage.

It takes a little getting used to. To be honest the off the shoulder cam, and the way you move is a bit clunky and not as responsive as I'd like it. No running and shooting is kind of crippling... and the camera angles can be a little obnoxious. They made it feel like a first-person shooter game, but gave you poor control over your character's movement.
Aiming is fine with a keyboard/mouse, but getting around and working with the camera, as well as a partner that likes to often hump your right shoulder takes a while to get used to.
