So I did one last test, tried the one Caliber used (even though it DOES NOT say Gold Edition) and surprisingly the trainer was for the gold version as well (again not stated on page description) and it worked fine. Seeing there are 2 pages for this game

It may be better to either link the gold to the regular page or get rid of it altogether as it may be the source of all the confusion.

Also note I DID NOT test with the Untold Stories, so I have no idea if the trainer

works with those and I don't have the time right now to try.

It may, in fact, require the GOLD Ed. trainer which is definitely in need of an update, If it is even still gonna be kept around after this LOL.

All in all it was not a waste of time, Cal helped determine the REGULAR trainer seems to work for the GOLD as well even though the trainer skin says it's for GOLD but the description for the download does not.

So the Gold edition trainer is the one that needs fixed. Thats good to know. I think the trainer not working on my end may be becasue i have mods installed. I should have said that i have mods installed. Seems that the one labled Gold Edition does need fixing?

So just ignore the trainer update for the bas game that i made haha.

As for Mercenaries mode testing, I don't have it unlocked and no time to play the game through to the end to unlock it, Save game needed.

Every time I try to use the trainer for RE5 on Steam the game crashes. I need help finding a solution as I'd love to use the trainer.

It was frustrating, but I found a fix. I had to upgrade my version of the game to RE5: Gold Edition by buying the DLC. Then the latest version of the trainer for the Gold Version of the game worked. Keep in mind that I could not patch the game to fix all of the Games for Windows Marketplace crap either. Otherwise the game would still crash when using the trainer.

Trainer#1 tested today with fresh install of gold edition, trainer is working for me.

so I try to use this trainer and it crashes straight to the desktop I disable my anti virus and run as admin to make sure but it still crashes but works fine without the trainer and I'm out of ideas on what to do :/

Please delete the trainer, custom keys, debug folder where the trainer resides and all files in

C:\Users\USERNAMEHERE\AppData\Local\Temp
C:\Users\USERNAMEHERE\Cheathappens\Work
C:\Users\USERNAMEHERE\AppData\Roaming\Cheat Happens\0x90
C:\ProgramData\CheatHappens

Reboot PC to clear excess memory, get a fresh copy of latest trainer and extract it. Run trainer as admin, read the instructions and try again. At times, a new game may be needed to resolve failed options if the data in your save file was altered. Use on a new game and test the option. If it now works, quit to main menu and load your save and try it again. May also need to run the game without the trainer first and play a bit so the save file gets updated to use possible new values. This typically will resolve the issue.

This cleaner is also part of the new Cheat Happens Trainer Manager 2.0, it is found in the settings and has an easy to use one button click feature.

Please disable/uninstall all antivirus, firewall and other security software including browser addons and extensions. Right click "Run as Administrator" on trainer and game. Please note that some security products may still block access to trainer injection even when disabled and must be completely uninstalled. If this is the case, please contact the product vendor for instruction on the proper way to prevent the trainers from being blocked by their software or find a better alternative.

Extract trainer and make sure trainer/launcher/editor is in a folder excluded from virus scans. Empty quarantine folder if needed or set anything trainer related (paths and EXE's) to ALLOW. Disable any Live/Active/Real-Time tools which may trigger false positives in security software that may terminate the game/trainer when it's activated or options used.

may need to be added to exclusions as well. Click and select "Run as Administrator", read the instructions and try again.

i tried this and ran as admin turned off all anti virus and firewalls still the same thing, the game runs fine, just whenever i use the trainer the game keeps crashing when i try to start it not sure why
