How is this game so far?
It looks interesting but I've read some crappy reviews about invisible walls, crappy graphics, undeveloped story... etc. etc.
Would you recommend a purchase?

It's fine , nothing more and nothing less. It's not invisible walls it's just you can't go where you want (not an open world) you have to stick the certain paths. graphics is not amazing and it's not crappy (somewhere in the middle)
after all that I do NOT recommend you buying it , it's a nice game but doesn't worth it's value

The only real value that the game has is the novelty of it. Fighting in the civil war with a machine gun is interesting, but the graphics and gameplay feel cheap.

I played the demo on steam. It's a ok game. In my opinon it's like a cross between Call of Duty and Back to the Future.

it's "meh" to me. interesting story line, 2d/cheesy graphics, cool guns, good soundtrack, and a number of other features. i rate this game a 7.7/10 the .7 comes from gunning down a firing line of confederates with an AR-55 and a combat shotgun.

If your bored then this game is much fun to play, go back to Civil War with state of the art techniques. Though the idea of the game is brilliant, the developer definately didnt put his hardest effort in it. The game could have been one of the best this year (this year? yes even with AC II and CoD MW 2 coming) if they had taken the time to develop the game. As i said at the start the game is fun to play but short. (4/5 hours and your done the first time) So conclusion, definately not worth your money.

If you like Timesplitters: your game. If you like Quake-paced gaming: your game. FPS? Your game.
Of course I really do not think this game is worth the $50 so just wait for some deal on STEAM or wait for price drop after reviews start flaming it.
