I could not agree more. Today most games developers concentrate so hard on getting the graphics and the MP right, that the story flies out the window. What happened to games where round characters, witty dialogue and riveting story line prevailed?

Because that is what the average gamer seems to expect these days. 🤔

Well playing time can be extended with Instant Action, which is playing against bots (NPCs), just like in Counter-Strike on the maps you played in Corde's Story mode. But after a while it becoms boring.

The other weakness of the game is the AI. It is awful. The AI in Battlefield 1942 was better than this.

Instant Action should really be for training purposes only. All I'm saying is that when I finish a game, I want to feel like I beat something like my time was spent accomplishing something. Section 8 could have been a good game if they worked on the SP story a bit. Now I believe( I really want to believe it and hope it's no pipe dream) that the developers know they have to get back to the SP aspect of gaming, that's why they made sure you knew Section 8 had a single player story, they just failed to mention how SHORT it was, and that everybody was going to be running around like they all drank about ten cases of Red Bull before going into battle. Like I said in one post go back dust off some of the older games give them todays upgrades, I wouldn't mind playing a 2010 version Of Wing Commander or Privateer, of Freelancer, Freespace,Mechwarriors, Janes Fighters,Star Wars Xwing Alliance, always wanted to play Star Wars from the perspective of a stormtrooper though, not republic commando they even had a game were you flew F16s for hire and with the money you made you took care of your airplane and bought weapons from the black market

Freespace, eh? Check this out Link

Damn release dates.. 6 days till steam gives me the game. And for what? What happens to the game between the North American release and the Euro release? Why can't games be released on a GLOBAL date, rather than regional? Especially on Steam

Exactly, how long is the Single Player campaign?
Life is best for those who enjoy it, difficult for those who analyze it and worst for those who criticize it.

1-3 hours, depending on how well you can aim and choose your equipment.

well, he talks about stims, probably something to calm them during the drop or so, and it's those that make him remember. the stims make him compare the drop to his younger life.

but indeed, very short game, even the hard mode is quite easy, and basically a revenge-story. you killed my friend I'll kill you. I hope the multiplayer is more fun though it seems like a modern day counterstrike.
