I'm Stuck at gate to courtyard? Where you suppose to be looking for carolyn i believe? how do i open the gate?

There Is a Pressure plate down the hall a little on the right hand side facing the Gate. The plate is what activates the gate by standing on it, Then simply activate slow time on medallion I believe it is the number 4 and run thru. Hope that helps.
