    Hello everyone,

I suddenly have a weird problem with Loki. I bought the game a week ago and started playing with the Norse warrior. I hat reached level 17 with him so far. (I know is low, but still. )

Now 2 days ago i uninstalled a program called Cyberlink(CD/DVD burning program). After that i wanted to delete the Cyberlink folder that was left behind, but i got a phone call that took a while. Ones i hung up i clicked on the map i thought was from the program mentioned above, but i noticed to late i hat clicked on Cyanide instead of Cyberlink.

No harm done i thought, i just uninstall and then reinstall Loki. Well it appears that it is not as easy as i thought. It installs al te way but then at the end it needs to make changes to the registry, and this is where it happens. I first get this warnings:

    Link

And then i get this warning twice:

    Link

Below the part with RegCreateKeyEx it reads Access Denied. I never got these warnings when i first installed Loki, so this is really weird? I really hope some one here is able to help me, because i really would like to start playing this game again.

No one has any idea about how to solve this problem?

I'd say use that thing (can't remember the name) that you can "go back" in time to a time prior to the registry change in your PC

You mean System Restore? If so i already tried that and unfortunately that did not seem to solve my problem. I still get those warnings i mentioned above.

If system restore doesnt work then your only option is to run "regedit" to remove the entries in question..

Some security software tend to be very protective about changes to the registry and backs it up to restore it in case of a change....

    Yeah, I meant system restore.

If it didn't work, then sorry, I can't think of anything else.

    That is ok ArchDuke.

Darkangel_Nor, i tried to do that just now but when i go to the Cyanide map in the registry it only shows the map Cyanide with a submap Loki. Both only seem to have a standard key in it with no value.

When i try to remove those keys and maps i get the message that a problem occurred and that they could not be removed? I even tried the same thing by right clicking on regedit.exe and start it as Administrator but that did not work either. My account is Admin so that should not be the problem either i guess?

Well problem solved, although in a drastic manner. Namely formatting my HD and reinstalling Vista and everything else. But it is still weird what happened, and i am still curious as to what the problem could have been?

At least i can play the game again.
