Am I the only person that actually disappointed by new game design? No base building, no side bar interface, different resource collecting methods, and limited population cap.
Game looks promising though but this is not what C&C is for.

If your into RTS multiplayer then you're set. However, EA bought the westwood studio, told the Devs there to wrap up the story of CNC:Tib and let them all know that they're getting laid off as soon as it comes out. Two of the Devs walked away immediately, leaving Sam Bass in charge. Sam was obviously their vehilce guy, as there are no longer bases or harvesting in this game. This game is now a capture and hold the checkpoint game.
As for the offline single-player mode, Sam said in an interview that only 5% of the people that bought CNC3 actually finished the SP mode, and that he wasn't in that 5% so it must have been way too long. With that being the case, the single player mode in this game will have 17 missions. After the 1st mission you get to decide if your going to betray GDI and go NOD or not. But either way, only 17 missions total.
If this angers, upsets, or disappoints you, blame EA. This is just another in their crusade to destroy good games by buying the companies that make those games, and then making impossible deadlines so those companies put out crappy shadows of their former glorious games and then flop out of business completely.
Thanks again, Electronic Arts, you sorry, rotten, s!!!

Dont realy angers me I listed to the Dev chatting. I think its just a strange way to go. But will see what happens. Personaly I think if there going to want to go mutli only then split the games up. CnC SP game only then CnC MP only. Meaning they can concentrate on the sep sides much better yeah money is key. But if they did that. I would buy the SP cause am more a SP than MP

If you had told me about this happening a year ago, I'd have laughed you off the internet. But now... *sigh*
It's like everytime these idiots get paid they hand over their IQ points to a lemming, just like Hollywood. Remember the Ubisoft uber-fiasco?

Yeah I remember. But Take it from WoW or Eve they are concentrated on online Np. Now if Eve did a SP for those that didnt like MP onlining. I would snatch it up big time. So I think if they are going to concentrate on that then split it up. Satisfiy both sides. You do it right and boom your in the money as they say.

If you check CNC's forums, you would see that people have been complaining about the game taking this direction since way before beta. It hasn't been pretty over there. They still have a few people left in the fan base that may buy this game, but most are dead set against it. And I've been watching the interviews with the lead designer (who looks like a nerdy hobbit, no lie just look him up.) and with each interview his head hangs just a little lower. It probably didnt help that the whole design team gets fired on the day of release. EA has destroyed this game thoroughly, they have been informed of the fan bases reaction, and simply dont care that they are ruining a great series. Command and conquer Tiberium Universe goes out due to being backstabbed to death.
