Keep in mind that the instant research and construction also applies to the AI, so while you are busy researching and building, so is everyone else.

FOW does work, but it must be "debug FOW". You may have to wait some game time, but the FOW will be gone.

I did a neat little thing be editing some traits and the leader of my nation. basically I made new trait that increases global ic by 500% and then added that trait to my nations leader.

Instrauctions:

In Hearts of Iron III\common\minister_types add the following lines of code at the bottom

cool_guy = {
global_ic = 5.00
}

you don't have to call it cool_guy but I was in a rush and couldn't think of a proper name. Save the file and exit. Then goto Hearts of Iron III\history\countries and find the country you play as. open the .txt file and look for head_of_state = #####. remember that number, its important. Goto Hearts of Iron III\common\countries and again find your country's .txt file. Hit ctrl-f for find and search for that number I told you to remember. It will bring you to a little stats list for your head of state. change the entry "head_of_state = whatever" to this "head_of_state = cool_guy" w/o quotes of course. After that save and start the game, you will notice in your IC calculation box that cool_guy adds +500% to ic.

This is especially good for people who want to play as small nations that were relatively weak, for example Australia, which I play as. The only problem is that with the increased IC you also need more energy and resources, so I turned the 500% bonus to only 70% its still quite a bit more, however its a little more manageable in terms of resources.

@ Lisa91, yes use the script I've already posted in this forum, and just remove all the modifiers with the exception of:

"global_research_speed = 10.00"
"research_efficiency = 100.00"
"unit_recruitment_time = -1.0"

Admittedly with the current settings research and production isn't instantaneous but you can up the values to make it as good as.

There are some other cheats with on screen messages, however I couldn't make them work, like:
yesmen AI now uses normal responses. AI now always responds favorably. doesn't work
spy superior espionage turned off. superior espionage turned on. doesn't work
fow Fog of war turned on. Fog of war turned off. doesn't work
morehumans none ? no error message
changeowner error message usage is: changeowner x y , where x is province ID and y is country like GER JAP etc. I couldn't find the x, province numbers like 1862 or 10312 didn't work
changecontroller same problem with the cheat above.

I look forward for anyone who can find more cheats and solve the ones I couldn't figure out. Have fun.

I just find the way to make work this cheats:

CHANGEOWNER

Go to ...\localisation\province_names.csv ==> In there you'll find all provinces ID.

the correct sintaxis is:

CHANGEOWNER COUNTRY PROVINCE_ID

for example:

CHANGEOWNER USA 4220 ==> you are the owner of this province

for CHANGECONTROLER do the same...
