    Hi

    I have installed Fallout 3 1.4.0.6 patch and DLC (O:A + Pitt +Broken Steel).

But nothing changes when I start a new game. I mean, there should be some new radio transmission which indicates that DLC has been installed and ready to go (from CheatsWiki).

    Is there anything wrong?

    Help is needed.

    Thank you.

    Hi,
If its an offline account wich you are playing, then look for the downloaded data from the expansions and copy them into the data-folder of fallout 3, then best get the fallout 3 mod manager (fomm) from fallout3nexus.com/ .
Don't know if anyone else has the same problem that the original manager from the launcher doesn't remind the aktive mods.
If it doesn't help, well, then use Voodoo.

    Thanks first.

I am not sure whether my DLC is offline version or else.

I am living in Australia, and I purchased Anchorage and Pitt expansion pack (DVD) from a local store.

    Plus, what's voodoo?

Just intall them to your Fallout 3 directory. Update Fallout 3 with the latest Patch (1.6), run the game using FalloutLauncher.exe

You will get a dialog. Go to data files ---> Tick the ESM files of the DLC which you want it to be loaded (Do not uncheck Fallout3.esm!)

Then click on OK and then run the game. Play for some time and a small message popup will appear showing that the DLC has been activated and you can play it.

    Thanks

Right now I still have to figure out the crashing problem...

It's not about trainer VS Xlive anymore, Cuz I think I am cool enough to play without using trainer, so I activated Xlive (No longer hacking problem with trainer).

But it still CRASHes. Then I deactivated Daemon Tool (I confess that I use illegal downloaded copy sometimes), and AVG anti-virus. But crashing still happens over time.

Right now I am looking forward to 1.4.0.7 (I hope there will be one before nuclear war).

You should update your game to v1.6 - It fixes many issues + It has added many achievements to the DLC if you compare it with v1.4!

And yes, do update your graphic card drivers to the latest build.

I have already upgraded my Fallout 3 to 1.4.0.6 , the patch is included in the released DVD.

    My PC:

    AM2+ X4 Phenom 9650 Quad Core
    4G DDR2
    Geforce 9500GT 1G

    XP Professional SP3
    AVG 8.5 Anti-virus

    Shouldn't be a problem.

Well what I am telling you is that updating the game to 1.6 fixes bugs and freezes in the game. 1.4.0.6 update is like in the stone age now and it does not make much of a difference.
