I've been able to do the Soviet mission 1- which thankfully unlocked the other campaigns. I played through these and no problems whatsoever, when I play the second soviet mission i get to a point and the game crashes straight to desktop, just after the reinforcements have been dropped in.
I have tried both with and without the trainer, and it doesn't make any difference.
I'm on windows xp with good hardware which i doubt will be the problem, as i have played various more demanding games including FarCry 2 and Crysis.
If anyone can help illuminate the problem and a fix for it I would greatly appreciate it.

I am having same problem too, it seemed to crash when I tried using orbital drop power
