You won't be able to play online if the game isn't up to date...

Well if you do not want to play online then there MAY be one way...

Do not install EADM (EA Download Manager) while installing the game. If you come up with nag screens in game, try applying a game fix, which is illegal because the game deals with authentication.

But I can't think of anymore ways except another silly one. Disable the internet while playing.

Life is best for those who enjoy it, difficult for those who analyze it and worst for those who criticize it.

Man, did you ever play BattleForge?

    1) It does not use EADM.
    2) It is online-only, so disabling the internet while playing... Yes. You can NOT play offline.
    3) There is no nag-screen or something. The game gets patched by a patcher before you can log in.
