I really hope not, it was a good ending though. Hopefully they'll announce a Dead Space 2 in the near future in which case he probably diddnt die.

maybe but when in the ending he take his mask off so maybe he died or maybe not

I remember seeing him taking off his helmet when he got in the shuttle and took off with his girl (forgot her name..)

Many heroes die in movie and games, thats usually used as a twist to the plot to keep the audience entertained.
