Is there a way to modify the amount of points given when I win an adventure?
Or is there a way to reset the adventure so I can play it kinda... infinite ...times?

Well I use CoSMOS to up my Cap points to 1point below the next level so that 1 adventure = Rank up. And Because I like playing my own adventures I saved multiple copies with a letter appended. More chance of getting your own adv and less chance of getting a 0 pointer that way, though sporepedia gets crowded pretty fast.

Does CoSMOS work, i tried this, and it seemed to work, but the game just hung at the reward screen. It showed that i could select a new upgrade, but i couldnt. I had to alt+tab and force the game to exit

how do you specificly up the captain's points? and mayhap theres a way to use the same kind of methood to reverse ranks? if we can, it'll be the first real step to unlocking all captain parts.

Use CoSMOS.
Search for your captain's current points, modify them to be near to the next level and complete an adventure.
e.g.
You have a level 1 (one) captain. Points needed for the next level are 100. First, complete a custom adventure that gives 10 points. Scan for 10 in CoSMOS. Do another 10-point adventure. Do Next Scan for 20. Now you have the number for the current level of your captain (Note: the memory string changes between most of the ranks). Edit the number (value) from 20 to any number between 90-99. Do another 10-point adventure and now your captain has leveled up. Do this as much as you want, but DO NOT modify the points above the requirement for the next level, because that may cause major problems!
You will need to repeat this series of steps when you advance a rank.
***Italics: Because of this you also can't modify the points below the current level, what means you can't get all parts for your captain.
Hope I helped.

Thanks for the hint MBenjo I tried this some time ago and it worked a few times... But somehow after a while it dident seem to work anymore. Just happy it gave a boost for so far it worked.
- Edit* Uh sry dident read the topic well enough through. But still.. Great job finding this and hinting us.
Still one thing. At which times do i scan for the points i have? Once i am rewarded and is on the score screen??
