I think everyone should upset with the method that SEGA made their update. CH are doing their best to satisfying us with trainer. I do not blame them for the delays since these SEGA guys are not welling to stop updating the game. I believe their managers did not send them in a holiday this summer that reason why we see a lot of updates coming through on weekly basis. If anyone has anything to say he should say it to SEGA in my opinion with the idiot innovation steam.
SEGA published the game, the Creative Assembly made the game (although now owned by SEGA). Badly. I really wish I could roll back to 1.2 when my game had working sound.
CA need to update their game: it's broken for many, many people. The support forums have many people with game-breaking bugs right now. CH are doing an excellent job at keeping up to speed with CA's incompetence, in my opinion.
I don't understand. You guys are mad at Sega/CA for patching their game and fixing bugs?...
Since the 1.3 patch, Empire was totally broken for me. That's three weeks of being unable to play it. I just crashed at the main menu.
When they released 1.3.1, I could get past the main menu crash but the game had no sound at any point.
With their latest hotfix, the game is fully functional for me again. I for one commend their efforts to get the game working properly. The issue had to do with RAID hard drive setups and how the game spooled data from them. It was a major issue for a great many people, as evidenced by this 20 page thread: shoguntotalwar.yuku.com/topic/58670/master/1/?page=6
I think a few days without a trainer is completely understandable. Afterall, do YOU work on the weekend? Stop bickering and be patient. I'm sure CH will release an updated trainer early next week.
I don't think anyone is complaining about CH.
CA on the other hand have been utterly naff. Asyncronous sound (introduced in 1.3) ruined the only part of the game which was working fine for me.
The game simply wasn't tested properly. Too many CTDs and whatnots. And judging by the fact 1.3 broke more than it fixed, I'm guessing their patches arn't tested well either.
