All my friends...
am again stuck in a quest given by Spanish Governor-General.. I am asked to find the French Privateer ROCK around Tortuga....i searched every where in tortuga and all around it(sea).....but couldn't find him.
What to do? am a Spanish Corsair 🤔

Well you can either wonder around the island in your ship in map mode engaging every pirate/french privateer you see OR you could go up to one of the friendly spanish ships in port press enter press launch boat button and then press the button with their ship on, once on-board ask them if they have seen the ship then continue from there with the "sail to" button and the pirate may be on there...from my past experiances the second usually works best as i have never found a single kill-ship on the map

Hi, you have to talk to the bartender on Tortuga. He will tell you that Rock has sailed to Maracaibo, sail there and capture him.

The bartender in Tortuga will tell you he sailing around Maricaibo. I had to get trading lic with France then change my flag to France just before I went into port.
