Please re-check wheter your game version is correct for that specific trainer.
Also, use a game fix if needed - They normally prevent crashes caused due to trainers (Because game protections normally prove to be problematic).
Please read the instructions that are supplied with the trainer properly. This may inform you about specific routines the game uses and how the trainer should be used for the game to work properly.

Running in compatability mode seems to do the trick.
