Runs perfectly here, infact shockingly its one of the least buggy games I've ever played on PC in ages. There are games with 20 patches out that still fail more than this game
Maybe your using an ATI graphics card? I have heard the older ones can be a pretty bad for most DX10 games
same here.. it MAY slow down when things get alittle crazy but it speeds right back up.. and im running this on a dual core processor, 2 gigs of ram and 2 9800 GTs

RE: TheTriad...
I don't know the exact specs of my PC.
It was custom built for gaming and should be more than capable of running this game.
i know this because,i have played crysis, fear, the witcher, pretty much every game i played so far has had no problems whatsoever.
Assassin's creed and prototype are the only ones with freeze ups and lag issues. I do have a nvidia 800 geoforce graphics card.
Sounds like a classic case of PEBKAC.
Incidentally, I play this game on a laptop, everything set to high, native 1920x1200 resolution, no slowdowns whatsoever. ASUS G70SG-A1, Intel C2D T9500, 4GB ram, GeForce 9800M GTS 1GB.

Which x800? is it 6800,7800,8800,9800?
Also since the game continually used the Hard disk to load the map, it may be good to run a defragging utility (one with Windows is fine) to make sure the file integrity is good.
You can get your system information via Nvidia's control panel, right click on the desktop > Nvidia control panel > System Information on new window.
Also right clicking on my computer > properties it will show what your CPU is and what memory you have, more detailed information can be found on the Hardware tab there also.
