Fruit that comes from your own town is 100 bells Fruit from your island or another town is 500 bells a full item screen or Pocket of Fruit from your island or another town is always 7,500 Bells
to get to your island you need a GBA and a GBA to Game Cube Link Cable(GBA to GC Link Cable).
Hook up your GBA to GC Link Cable and go down to the Dock.
Talk to the guy in the boat, name your island and ride the boat to the island
