i have tried turning off anti virus ,administrative run , disabling firewalls, different compatibility runs etc...but still the same thing happens.....my versiion is the retail DvD version ....i have uploaded the exe file here www.megafileupload.com/en/file/104535/TerminatorSalvation-retail-DvD-exe-rar.html

The steam .exe and the retail boxed .exe are different. we also got one of the DUD retail dvd's that could not install. at any rate, thanks to user sending .exe we have working retail boxed version as well.

a side note, we got ours at Gamestop. did anyone else try to refund or return their game yet? if so what happened? is there any news on what to do about this not working DVD? thx-

you can make the dvd work by following the instructions from this page.....thats how i managed to do it...

now just need the trainer for this so that i can win..............may be in the mean time if some one could post the steam version exe file..then i can see if that exe will run on my system ...and if it does ..i can use the trainer ....

From what I know all of the original retail copies have been recalled due to that problem with the installer (Missing files unless it's manually extracted.) and the game is now going trough a second "print" which should solve the issue, unsure how they'll do it but I also heard they're thinking of replacing the broken discs for these new ones (For those who've already bought it.) I guess you need to take the reciept and game back to the store and let them handle it from there, hopefully they'll exchange it for the new version assuming they know about this little slip-up.
(Exchaning PC titles are a bit difficult compared to console titles but most stores will allow it if properly explained.)

EDIT: Nice to see trainers for both editions out, very quick as usual.
(I guess Sims 3 is the next big project once it hits proper retail, Damnation is also set to be released tomorrow.)

i don't think option 3 (super health) is working for me...using the retail exe......other ooptions seem to work here and then....but the health drops off rapidly when under fire....

i tested it before sending with the .exe you sent me.

super health is approximately equal to the heal damage option. so try that option. i cannot 'fix' this since i cannot replicate your problem here (i.e. option 3 works fine on my computer).

super health basically sets your health to a really high number. you still take damage (if option 1 is off) but you cannot see the meter drop much at all if it is working.

also, just for future reference, it is helpful if you tell us what part of the game you are in and what is causing you to get damage, etc. walking into restricted zones, etc. will get you killed no matter what option is on (game drops bombs on you, etc.)
