I found the best solution, I use an ATI video card! Seriously, after all the problems I had with my old machine with it's NVIDIA card, I made sure I spec'd my new one with an ATI.
ATI and Nvidia are both good, just depends on which company you prefer (but the smart thing to do is to get the best bang for the buck at the time of purchase).
Kinda the same thing with Intel and AMD... except AMD has sucked the last couple of years, and has only fallen more behind compared to Intel's speed and performance. They need to release something big soon to catch back up. Competition is weak now in the CPU market.
