If the name Brotherhood of Steel has the "brotherhood" in it, then why are there female members in the faction? Shouldn't there be a "sisterhood" or something? Seriously, I don't get it.

i think the name has more to do with the brotherhood's military origin and heritage than the literal definition of the word.
