Yeah, I like this game. It's not a fast pace shooter game by any means and it takes time to learn how to play. For hardcore strategy fans only I'd say. It's like the game STALKER in a way since you can load out your character(s) with cool inventory items and gear that you have to buy, but it's more like the old classics of the day like X-Com and Fallout I and Fallout II. It's not nearly as good as those games were though but that's how I'd describe this one anyways.

I wish more games were made like this one but with just a slightly faster pace/tempo to them and with a bit less clunkiness regarding the interface. What I really like about this game is that it makes you think. There are usually several ways to accomplish your goals but usually only one of those ways will be the safest. Of course that usually takes a little more thought, time, and effort on your part to figure out. Shooting your way through something is not always the best way to handle a situation. Sometimes you've got no choice though.

The only real problem with games like this one is the lack of replayability. That's because most of the game is scripted events and triggers and playing it again is pretty much boring since you know what to do. A game like this one in a free-roaming open world without all the load screens for map locations and without all the scripted events and with more dynamics would be phenominal. For instance, I dislike the fast travel option between map locations in the game and wish that you could venture from city to city in real time. That would make earning a vehicle much more exciting. Just imagine if you could buy choppers and shoot up those pesky bandits from above! I can only wish! Maybe Just Cause 2 will get right what Just Cause 1 didn't. That game wasn't far off from being a perfect merc game. I thought Mercs 2 was pretty good too but I dislike the whole GTA feel to it and stupid AI it has. The shooting and weapons in the game were nice though and I love the destruction you can do in that game. The best part is being able to get airborne and fly around the fully unlocked map where you can land anywhere.

I hardly think this game has a lack of replay. I spent an insane amount of time on silent storm, SS2, the Jagged alliance series, brigade E5.

I am a sucker for these turn based tactical games like fallout and x-com so this is right up my alley and I'd recommend it.

The game does have a steep learning curve and leaves you feeling very overwhelmed at times but that's part of the intrigue with me and keeps me coming back for more.
