Regulus

All 8 of them seemed pretty well balanced in terms of power and skills. But I found that the Unclean beast and Sedna were difficult to play in hard and almost impossible on nightmare, the rest did pretty good on nightmare.

For playing style I like the Angel he's pretty good and fits the role of assassin better than the other three.

As for background I likes the Oak and Vampire's stories best. I find the Oak and Vampire play more like Assassins since they don't really summon their allies/minions directly since both raise their army from the dead. Plus they are both pretty good at indirectly or in the case of some skills directly healing themselves.

The Oak is probably my favorite General though I'll happily switch between the Angel, Oak and Vampire so as not to ware any of them out and loose interest.

Oh, I agree. The beast is simply a beast. At first he seems weak. I think he is one of the strongest in later levels. Still havent played multiplayer though so who knows. I think Rook sucks =/ Sorry to say. Perhaps I grabbed the wrong upgrades but I got my ass handed to me.

I once beat 4 hard Rooks with just regulas and no other demigods on my side. I tried 5 on Nightmare it and it was possible. I mean there was a lot of withdraw going on and I was feeling the pressure, but i was playing on a large map so it was easier to get one or two by themselves. Five nightmare rooks on the cruible was only really possible with 4 normal alies demigods on my side. To be honest they though evenly enough, perhaps their slow weakness was reffering to the ai .

Unclean beast is a nightmare (no pun intended) to deal with at higher levels esecially when ai takes the speed boosting skill and almost always does.
