I haven't played around with this game much yet but so far of the few demigod's I've tested out I have to say that Rook is my favourite. He reminds me of the colossi from Shadow of the Colossus. He's also pretty good at smashing the crap out of structures when you get structure drain, because you can heal yourself whilst doing lots of damage to a structure and then finish it off with your relentless pounding.
I don't like the fire/ice guy he seemed really weak to me but I guess I need to play this game a lot more before seeing who works well with what tactics.

out of all the demigods i played the fire/ice guy isn't my favorite but in terms of taking down other demigods he seems to be the best imo. Also you can do the DoT AoE fire spells in a crossroads where lots of enemies pass and level up ridiculously fast.

Sedna is my favorite, once you get her up a few ranks she can be pretty useful for both defense and offense.

I love the rook^^ i just keep getting archer, light and trebuchet tower along with slam up to rank 4 and stats improvement up to rank 5. Then buy godplate/the 6750 boots and the 6750 gloves. Along with artifacts like 25000 ring and 20000 weapon for attack speed. Then ur char pwns!
Oak and regelus(crossbow dude) are both nice to play with aswell. Still need to try a few others.

Forget the Rook's power attack, it's pretty useless in the grand scheme. Power up his building absorb power. by level three he can nearly drain a defensive tower of all its health in once shot (this will happen at level four of the power) while replenishing his own. Makes him great for opening up the enemy to attack by taking out towers without coming anywhere near close to dying. This can all be done without a shred of money spent on items or artifacts. Then ll you need do is concentrate on arrows/light towers, health, and eventually adding the trebuchet.

I have to disagree jack, the skill ur talking about is building drain. And i personally find that the skill aint good. Perfect rook strategy = 5 max stats, 4/5 slam, 3 boulder roll and 3 divine strenght. As for items the best boots and the 3000 hat/ then buy ur artifacts and u got a huge tank with almost no possibility of dying without cheating that is.

From what I've played around with Apocalypses method does tend work very well but I tend to just find it more fun to destroy my way across the map, even if I do die a few times. I generally find if I struggle at all and the game goes on for longer I have a lead on war effort to get me the good troops quicker. I spend most of my money into the citadel and use teleports for bursting in an out to detroy enemy towers and take flags, and will jump in to prevent enemies taking my flags too.
