That's not entirely true, initially EA released UPRISING as a digital download to combat the "used game" issue. Which if you ask me isn't an issue. I have yet to find a store that sells used PC games so I don't know where EA is getting this info from. However they do plan to release the game to traditional retail outlets via a disk in the near future.

Here's a suggestion if you can't wait. Get the game from Direct2drive.com. for the same price $20. Once you download the game file it is yours to burn to a DVD, save the file to a flash or external drive. Also if you ever need to download the game again you can for free, an unlimited number of times. If you go through the EA store they will allow you to download the game for a period of one year and if you want more time you have to pay an additional $5 ontop of the $20 cost for the game and thats only for a set number of additional years. Can you say RIP-OFF? It's not hard to pick the better option here with Direct2Drive's no time expiry policy.

The reason EA has started to sell expansions as a digital download is because they don't like the fact that they don't make any money of the 'used games' game stores sell. EA is a greedy company that is buying out companies and ruining good games, what about the people who don't have the internet but want the expansion. They've lost a large sector of the market if you ask me.
