I went back into Vault 101 and sabotaged the filter unit, when I told Amata she said I was crazy and ran away, I tried chasing after her but when I got outside the vault cave she was gone. Anyone know where she went?

she becomes an random event after that point.

So we get to meet her again? At a random event?

Well...I think it is the event when you find your dad ---> End of the game (Main quests).

She can be found near an enclave checkpoint.

Amata becomes a random and kinda sad event if you sabotaged the water purifier. Almost a footnote.

How did you go back in and sabotage it?

Finish the waters of life quest and then return to the vault. You will pick up a distress signal.

If you killed the Overseer as you escaped from the vault, you cannot receive this quest.
