Does anyone know how to create the conditions to start a revolution as it says in the book but doesn't really explain enough. I would like to switch my (Great Britain) Constitutional monarchy into a Absolute Monarchy.

Also is there any way to view/set heirs?

Set the taxes for nobles as high as possible in the europe theater and if you have move out every unit you have in your home city... if that still is not enough research some enlightment ideas. That should do the trick.

Personal Tip: Create a savegame before you do these things. You never know what might happen...

its basically like any other rebellion except they make it more dramatic because it happens in the capital and you can choose either side.

I did this with the Swedes yesterday. After setting the taxes high they rebelled after 3 turns. First there is a work stoppage, then a riot, and then finally a rebellion. You are then asked which side to back, the rebels or the loyalists. I choose rebels and several rebel armies with a new flag appeared and I was now at war with all the other armies of your country. However you only need to use your armies to take the capital. Once you do that, your new government is installed. In my case, Sweden became a republic! Not sure if you can create a more repressive government though. I'd have to try it some time and see.

Yeah having a trouble with the nobility revolting, I exempted all other regions beside the capital with the nobility having a high tax rate, but they seem to not mind it? Any other way to **** off the nobility besides destroying buildings?
