Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War 2 Message Board  

Through no effor of my own or decision for that matter I was informed that Steam had downloaded DOW2 and installed the new 1.1.3. patch prior to this I had thought I already had this patch and the trainer from CH was working quite well. Tonight I find 1.0.11 on my desktop which if I remember correctly was the one I replaced when I thought I upgraded to one of the higher patches. No problem, (or so I thought,) When I got the error message that DOW 2 had encountered an error I came back here and downloaded patch 1.1.3, but when I returned to desktop I didnot find patch 1.1.3 but the old 1.1.0 patch. I even erased the older patch and installed the newere one, still I get the error on both the mission and the multiplayer mode where single skirmish games can be played. And just when I was beginning to like steam because I don't have to run the DVD and was getting a real high off playing the rough, fast paced game. Wiz, or anyone else can you help me with this.

I would recommend uninstalling the entire game and all mods, deleting all trainers you have downloaded. Re-install the game, make sure Steam updates the game to 1.1.3 (you can see the version at main menu) then re-download the 1.1.1/1.1.3 trainer.
