Empire: Total War Message Board  

Hi all, playing the single player american campaign, after finishing every single research, i am able to finish the last set of researches for the enlightment tab (classical economics, free trade, abolish slavery, etc). I have finished the research that allows for building modern universitys (rights of man i think), but i am unable to build any modern universitys.

The American faction may not be allowed to build it.

I think it might be unlock on the expansion when it arrives. With the abolishment of slavery, the game will have to include the American revolution between north and south.

maybe your right, but i have unlocked it for other factions. Sucks =/

You can build it; however, it can only be built in a university in your capital region.

I was able to research those, after I took over some European countries, in my case Norway.
