Empire: Total War Message Board  

Hi chaps new to all this, i was just woundering if this Empire Total War trainer is compatible under Vista 32bit Ultimate, as it seems i can not get it to work, even after following all the instructions to the letter.

Trainer is working fine for me on Visat Ultimate 32. The Game however only plays for so long then keeps crashing at end of turn wether useing trainer or not using it.

I just cant understand why i cant get the trainer to work at all, although ive followed the instructions to the letter?

you yust have to make sure you match both the compatibility mode and also check if you run both or none in administrator mode. thats all i can think of

Hey, the trainer and game are both working fine for me on vista 32bit ultimate. Standard Vista setup with UAC switched off and using the ol' right click and run as administrator for the trainer.

Is the trainer crashing the game or just not working when you press the options?

OK this is what happens
1- I start the Trainer as administrator
2- I then start steam, and then start the game
3- When the game has reached the main menu, i press F1, when this happens i hear a voice saying "Trainer Activated"
4- I then load my saved game.
5- Once in my game, i press the number 1 for the gold thingy but nothing happens, the gold does not change the game does not crash, just nothing at all, as does nothing happen with all the other numbers.

PS. Now heres the thing, if i press the numbers on the number pad, meaning the numbers on the right of keyboard then all that happens is my view of the map moves around the screen, so i tried the numbers at the top of the keyboard and this just does nothing at all.

Paddie...I assume you have "numlock" on ?.....as that will allow the trainer to work, if off, it moves the camera only.

Another question to zero in to the problem: do you have the *Patch*Trainer?
