I cannot get this to work either.
I have tried dropping it into the game dir just in case that made any difference and also "Run as administrator".
Upon starting the game and trying to press ALT+ ~ nothing appears to happen. After I have pressed ALT+ ~ and then tried pressing any of the cheat keys like ALT+1, ALT+2 etc, there is no audible noise as it suggest there is supposed to be in the trainer text file. No cheats activate and it simply appears not to work.
There must be something we are all missing or doing wrong ( those of us who cannot get it to work properly ).
Those who have actually managed to get it to work - can you please post if you did anything differently than the trainer text file says?. If not I suggest there is something not quite right with this trainer or possibly our install of the game.
As it happens just now I'm at a part of the game @around Chapter 4 that to be honest I really cannot see any way past unless I activate a trainer to blag my way past it. It's that difficult!!!.
So for now, until a working trainer is released I'm going to have to give up on Dark Sector until a later date.

Nah, forget this trainer guys, it's useless.
Whether its been incorrectly coded or whatever I dont know but it certainly doesn't work.
We will just have to wait for a properly functioning trainer to be released.

Worked fine for me , no problems whatsoever What i did was...
Start the trainer Start the game Load the last save Press the key to activate the trainer(Alt+~) (after you are in the game , controlling your character) Then Pressed the Alt+1/2/3/4 options (i only used the first 4)
Parapam , working , there are no sounds to inform you if the trainer gets activated so if you feel it's not working just press the Alt+# again..
And note , it's Alt+# not Alt+NUM

Thanks for the info. That is pretty much what I have been trying too, the same sequence as you have but I still fail to get it to work.
I will give it another go.
In the meantime though what I have done is downloaded the Saved games of the 100% complete version. This allows you to begin the chapter immediately after the Stalker boss battle. You don't miss anything apart from the frustrating battle itself and you start with the "Shield" skill as if you have defeated the Stalker as per normal.
Didn't want to do it that way but that Stalker guy was getting so annoying I felt I had no other choice....LOL!!!.
I will try your trainer method out though, acustic and see how I get on.

you could try using the no-cd fix from gamecopyworld to play without the CD in the cdrom
