Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Message Board  

I have a crash where i go to the main menu and i go start a new game and before the cutscene starts it crashes...ive deleted the oblivion.ini and my video card has been updated and restarting doesn't help either and ive been going to different sites trying to see if i can solve it...

Not sure if it will work for you, as it hasnt worked for everyone with this problem, but it does work some of the time. Download this Link, or go to this site www.winhelponline.com/articles/105/1/File-association-fixes-for-Windows-Vista.html and get the MP3 fix. The problem you are having is sometimes a file association problem (like I said, doesnt work for everyone, so may be different causes for different people), although some people have also reported it as a codec problem, which required new codec downloads to repair.
