not that easy unfortunately. the fact that theres a green light for the games only means that CH is considering making one. they're checking out whether its possible.
but i have a strong feeling it might be a problem that it's basically a DOS game, making it more complicated. we'll see, lets pray
That's my fear as well- that the game is just so old that it's actually more difficult to make a trainer for- though I have no idea what goes into making one to know how much that would affect it.
At least the '98 versions of both TIE and X-Wing released with GOG are windows-based. Only the 94 versions are DOS, maybe that augers well for us?
there are already trainers/editors for the dos-versions out there, they might not all work with the addons installed and they might not be easy to find nowadays, but they exist.
so when im thinking about a trainer for gog's xwing/tiefighter im thinking of the windows-versions of course. dos wouldnt make sense.

Ah sorry, I wasn't particularly clear there. Yes, obviously we wouldn't be worried about the old DOS version of the game at this point.
However, from what I understand, the two versions of the game that come with the GOG purchase were originally released with DOS and Windows as the intended operating system for the 94 and 98 iterations respectively.
I was pointing out that the fact if being a DOS based version is a source of difficulty in making a modern trainer, at least we have the '98 version of the game which might be more promising, since it was developed with windows in mind.
We'll see I guess! Crossing my fingers.
