We almost always obtain the retail version first, then Steam, then Gamer's Gate. Almost never D2D or other services unless absolutely necessary.

clear your internet cache and re-download the D2D trainer. you may still be getting the old file.

I'm still getting crashes with the trainer activated during the WWIII campaign. Prelude to War missions are just fine, however.
Just a theory, when you select your unit, is there a certain one we might have to select perhaps?
ETA I have the D2D version running on Windows XP Pro

Single player Skirmish matches do not work the trainer either. It crashes the instant the trainer is turned on or when the trainer is activated before a mission and the mission loaded.

Im debating going and buying a retail copy anyway, and just taking the loss on the D2D copy lol
