While here it's a hceat website, I didn't posted anywhere else because people would start something bad about it.

First, you need a 2nd controller.

1. Start a splitscreen coop game with both controllers.
2. Edit the game settings so it matches like this: Difficulty-Normal, Campaign-No Mercy, Location-The Subway.
3. Have your first controller busy so that the AI doesn't take over if you've been idle for a while.
4. Kill the other 2 characters except the one controlled by the 2nd controller.
5. Have your 2nd controller go out the safe house and close the door. Your 1st controller stays in the safe house.
6. Have your 2nd controller run all the way to the next table with weapons and ammo. A Tank will show up. Do nothing and let the Tank kill the 2nd controller. The Tank will eventually come to the safe house.
7. The Tank will not be able to climb up the huge hole so have your 1st controller come out of the safe house and single handedly kill the Tank. Voila.

If the 2nd controller die on the way or the Tank doesn't show up, just start over again.

There might be a confusion because the table between the subway booths might show weapons. What I actually mean is the other table in the tunnel next to a subway train.

My thread title was too long and should've shown (How to get "Man vs Tank" achievement without online play).

i tried it and the problem is that when i finally got the 2nd player to die after many attempts then when the tank showed up at the safehouse it died when it turned the corner

that is. it died without me shooting at it

Also happened to me once, then tried it again and it didn't died after. Problem is the Tank has a rage meter, and if he doesn't find/see someone, his rage doesn't gets recharged and dies.

Try to have your 2nd survivor get noticed by the Tank, then lure the Tank as close as possible back the way to the safehouse so that his rage meter doesn't empty by the time he sees your 1st survivor in the safehouse.
